Production technology of fiberglass pipe

Fiberglass tubes are produced by continuous winding or by double - way spiral winding.Both are thought of as filament winding machines, impregnated with a lot of glass-reinforced resins, and then wound wet fibers around the heart axis in a prescribed process.
Continuous filament winding: a continuous winding machine is a continuous steel strip supported by a cylindrical spindle girder.The girder rotates, the friction pulls the ribbon and the roller bearings allow the belt to move longitudinally so that the entire spindle moves continuously along a spiral path toward the end of the machine.
As the spindle moves, raw materials such as glass fibers, resins, polymers (if needed) and surface veils are measured in precise quantities in the direction of a programmable logic controller (PLC) and computer (PC).After the pipe is solidified, the synchronous sawing device cuts the pipe to the appropriate length.
Continuous winding is considered to be the most effective because once pipe production begins, as mentioned above, the production process continues and only complete orders can be completed.This process is considered continuous because it cannot be paused and restored at the completion of each pipe or layer.
Two-way spiral winding process in which the glass fiber roving, continuous fiber yarn specifically said through resin impregnated resin bath.The resin bath and the glass are directed to the comb on the sliding frame, which is driven back and forth at a very well controlled linear speed.Glass fibers, preimpregnated with resin, are wound around the steel spindle at a specified speed when rotating.The linear speed synchronization of the sliding frame and the spindle speed determine which roving is wound around the core axis, which is considered to be the Angle of the glass winding Angle, depending on the properties of the pipe.For this reason, the speed of the two axes and the speed of the slide frame are well controlled by the computer program.
In this process, the winding progress is in stages. The linear motion of the sliding frame will produce a layer of pipe thickness, which is composed of multiple layers, depending on the total thickness required.
For all processes, the glass steel pipe is made of many layers. The main layers are:
- lining, which is rich in resin and is provided in ducts for chemical resistance and good and smooth inner surfaces.The lining thickness can reach up to 2.5mm
- the structural layer which is forming the thickness of most of the tubes.The mechanical strength of the pipe is mainly realized by the structural layer.
- outside lining, which is rich in resin and provides protection for pipe thickness.
